OEM Account Executive



Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from cold calls, trade show leads, business directories, and other sources.
  • Develops new business from OEM’s that we currently partner with
  • Works with OEM’s to determine what products work best in their applications and help develop those leads.
  • Be comfortable working with engineers to develop ideas that they have into products that we can provide.
  • Processes customer requests for product information, price, availability, and design specs.
  • Processes customer purchase order by entering order into Axapta, following it through credit review, product management, allocation, QA testing, warehouse, and shipping.
  • Notifies customers of price changes, delivery changes, and new product information.
  • Resolves credit issues, defective product issues, freight issues, pricing errors, and process sample or evaluation requests.
  • Performs account management by profiling and updating points of contact, correct ship to / bill to addresses, phone numbers, and current credit information including increased credit line requests
  • Maintain account lists, phone logs and progress reports in CRM.
  • Schedules meetings with potential customers and existing customers.
  • Travels to customer site as necessary, both domestically and internationally
  • Other tasks assigned as necessary

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, and customers. Ability to speak clearly and thoroughly. The ability to speak additional languages is highly desirable.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
