Memory Upgrades

RD Series – Reference Design (RD) series of products are the based design of all Centon memory. These are not sold and are only used in quoting and as a base for future BOM creation. (Example: RD608G07)

M Series – Manufactured parts that are based on a RD part intended for OEM use. The DRAM is assigned when setting up the BOM, which is locked down to the (die revision, chip manufacture, technology, chip configuration, SPD, PCB revision). (Example: M0570).

TOP Series -

CMP Series – Centon Memory Power parts are designed for system integrators, looking for both quality and aggressive pricing. The following items are controlled on CMP parts: density, dimensions, technology, chip configuration, chip marking, and SPD. (Example:CMP400PC1024.01)

Retail Items – These parts are intended for consumer use where the form fit and function is controlled (density, speed, color, style and technology). (Example:2GB800DDR2, DSP4GB-007)

TAA Parts– Trade Agreement Act parts are identified as parts assembled in the United States, Taiwan, or other trade complaint country. (Example:TAA400PC1024.01)

Flash Products

FD Series Numbers – Flash Design (FD) series of products are the based design of all Centon Flash products. These are not sold and are only used as reference design for full BOM creation. (Example: FD2048SD01).

OEM Flash Series Numbers – Actively manufactured parts that sold to the end user are based on a FD part. The BOM, which is locked down to the (die revision, chip manufacture, technology, chip configuration, firmware, formatting). (Example: SD0041).
