Background

What is Proposition 65?

California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, known as Proposition 65, requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposures to chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

The list is maintained by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and updated regularly.
